Belleview, FL, Saturday, July 20, 2013 From an article in the Ocala Star Banner Michael Tedeschi completed his required community service project, in partnership with Operation Shoebox, and raised a large number of donations and more than $2,000 to support troops deployed overseas. For his service project, Tedeschi planned and oversaw an eight-hour donation drive on Saturday that included 60 volunteers deployed at eight area Winn- Dixie and Publix supermarkets and Walmart stores to gather supplies for Operation Shoebox. “I want to support our soldiers,” he said. Both of Tedeschi’s grandfathers served in the Army and an uncle served two tours in Afghanistan. Tedeschi, 17, is entering his senior year at Forest High School.
