Wounded Warriors

In an effort to help our heroes that have been wounded, we fill back packs with items that the Wound Warriors can use when they are first brought in for treatment and when they are transferred to Germany or back to the States. When an injured troop is first brought in, clothes and personal belongings don’t follow them immediately.  So we pack items in a back pack that they can be given when they first come in and after they are stabilized.  These backpacks provide items that they need right away, helping them bridge the time until their own personal belongings arrive.  Items that we typically need are:

New Book Bags / Back Packs
Sweat pants in sizes Medium, Large and X-Large, any color
White T-Shirts (heavy cotton)
White calf-high socks
Word search and crossword books
Hand hand games
Pens, pencils and writing paper
Get well cards
Hygiene bags
Tooth brushes and tooth paste
